Swords & Slippers combat systems & Move List

Build 0.0.12 adds Parry for Red Hood and Block for Snow White, and improves character switching. The Move List, Perfect Dodge and switching were introduced in 0.0.11. Steam describes branching combos, a Style Meter and swapping heroines mid-combo. This page separates those announced mechanics from version-specific additions and shows where to look for commands in the development build.

What belongs to which record?

Use the store description for the intended combat design and the changelog for when a feature was documented. A store promise does not establish the behavior of every older installer.

SystemConfirmed detailWhat it tells a player
Branching combosSteam describes attacks that branch into different routes. There is more than one continuation; the store does not supply a button sequence.
Style MeterSteam says the meter rewards creativity. It is a style system, not a published damage multiplier or proof of an optimal route.
Move ListThe 0.0.11 changelog places it in the Pause Menu.Players using that build have an in-game reference point for moves.
Parry / Block0.0.12 adds Parry for Red Hood and Block for Snow White.Match the defensive feature to both the character and version; the notes do not provide inputs or timing.
Perfect DodgeListed as a new gameplay feature in 0.0.11.The feature's introduction is documented; the public note gives no timing or reward values.
Character switchingAdded in 0.0.11; Steam describes mid-combo swaps.Switching is part of the combat design, but neither source lists the input or all restrictions.

02 / Move List

Where to find the commands

The developer specifically added the Move List to the Pause Menu in 0.0.11. That is the supported navigation path; the public changelog does not reproduce its entries.

  1. 1

    Match the build

Read your installed build number. The portal now lists SwordsSlippersInstaller_0.0.12.exe as newest; that does not mean an older installed copy has updated. The Move List was introduced in 0.0.11, while Parry and Block were added in 0.0.12.

  2. 2

Open the Pause Menu, then Move List

Use the list in your build for the available moves. No universal keyboard or controller shortcut is established by the public note.

  3. 3

If the list is missing, check the version first

An older build predates this documented addition. If it is missing in 0.0.11, report the build number, character and platform through the developer's support link in the official post.

Parry or Block? Match your heroine

In 0.0.12, Red Hood receives Parry and Snow White receives Block. These are separately named additions, not new names for the Perfect Dodge introduced in 0.0.11.

If a guide mentions Parry while you are checking Snow White, first check which heroine and version the guide uses. The developer has not supplied a command, parry window, blocked-damage percentage or a list of unblockable attacks in the public portal notes. Use the commands actually shown by your build rather than copying an unverified button sequence.

For a missing option, record your build number, selected heroine and mode when reporting the problem through the developer's official page. Do not change membership tiers just because a mechanic is absent.

03 / Perfect Dodge

Added in 0.0.11

Perfect Dodge appears under All Tiers in the 27 March 2026 changelog. The note does not specify its command, timing window, invulnerability duration or reward. It therefore cannot support a claim that a successful dodge slows time or increases damage.

When comparing advice, look for a named build and an observable result. A normal evade in a promotional image is not enough to identify a Perfect Dodge.

04 / Character switching

Mid-combo swaps and the available roster

Steam describes switching heroines during a combo. The 0.0.11 changelog adds character switching alongside the new playable Red Hood. The 0.0.12 portal then lists switching improvements and a Test Run character-select screen. Neither note supplies the full selectable roster, switching cooldowns or a guaranteed cancel from every attack.

These answer different questions: the store names Snow White, Red Hood and Rapunzel as the announced cast; the build note confirms Red Hood's addition. Do not use the three-character store roster as proof that all three can be selected in your installer.

05 / Version checklist

Match a guide to your build

  • 0.0.11 is the documented addition point for the Move List, Perfect Dodge and switching.
  • The 0.0.11 post groups those features under All Tiers; its Test Run modes are grouped under Tier 3.
  • If a guide uses a Test Run demonstration, its setup may differ from the content available to your membership.
